Alex is my name but most people I know call me Wheelsie. I have always enjoyed a challenge, and have also enjoyed giving back to the community and especially the elderly. I’ve always had a close relationship to my grandparents and have seen the value of them having pets to care for first hand. When I was given the huge opportunity to be on Adventure All Stars in 2020 I jumped at it. The charity I represent, Pet Medical Crisis (PMC), do great work and provide a service that no other organisation does in Australia, perhaps the world.

Over the next 10 months I will be working raise both funds and awareness for PMC as they push to help as many pensioners, older or disadvantaged, as possible. Throughout this journey I will be aiming to do a full marathon along with several other activities that will help engage more people’s awareness of what I am doing, and in turn what PMC is doing.

I was raised in a rural town and this made me understand how important community is, and how the people in the stronger positions need to assist the people who aren’t. I am truly excited for the chance to give what I can back to helping both pets and their owners, while at the same time having a great time and partaking in a life changing Adventure. Please get behind me as I drive to help Pet Medical Crisis expand and reach all corners of this country I love so much.

I’m excited to announce I’ve been selected as an official cast member of the socially conscious (and award-winning) TV series Adventure All Stars. Produced by the acclaimed Charity TV Global, this ground-breaking media format provides a platform for me to raise funds and exposure for a philanthropic cause I’m passionate about. Pre-filming I’m proud to be raising funds to support disadvantaged owners and pensioners meet the high cost of veterinary care for their beloved pet.

Why am I fundraising and how can you help me?

Pet Medial Crisis (PMC) was established in 2010 and since then have distributed over $500,000.00 to 600+ pets and continue to provide a much-needed service to our community. PMC raises funds to assist with the costs associated with medical intervention for companion pets. The pet owner’s inability to fund the care would otherwise result in death or significantly impact quality of life. With your support I can raise vital funds to support PMC with their mission to make pet ownership affordable for all, in particular the disadvantaged and pensioners.

Net proceeds raised throughout this project will be granted to Pet Medical Crisis https://petmedicalcrisis.com.au/
