Hi, my name is Alecia and I'm 25 years old. I've grown up in Australia my whole life and a big part of being an Aussie is being surrounded by our beautiful wildlife. From koalas to kangaroos, our wildlife is special and it's extremely special to me. You see for over 5 years now, I've worked with wildlife. I've had the opportunity to handle koalas, give them cuddles and enjoy their beautiful personalities. From big smelly boys, to cute fluffy girls, they all have a special place in my heart. I can't imagine a world without them, but sadly with the way our world is going, they could very well be gone before we know it. With land clearing happening all over Australia, koalas are losing their homes and therefore we are losing them.

This cause is important to me. I don't want to live in a world without our wildlife - it's what makes Australia what it is. We need to raise funds to save Australian Wildlife before generations after us don't have the opportunities to see and admire them. I want us all to be more aware of our wildlife and the importance of being mindful of them. We drive cars, but they can be hit. We chop down their trees to make room for us, but they lose their homes. We own pets, but pets can attack them. We are very responsible for their decline in population and we need to act now.

If you donate to this cause, you will know you have played a part in saving our wildlife. Whether it's $10 or $100, any donation would be greatly appreciated by myself and our wildlife. If you aren't in a position to donate, just clicking "share" on my campaign will help and I would be extremely grateful. The more people this reaches, the more awareness will be brought to this cause.

I thank you for reading and for being on my campaign page. Just know that any donation you make will be very appreciated and acknowledged. I adore koalas and all of our wildlife and could tell you many stories about them. They deserve to be looked after and protected before it's too late. I really hope you can help me with this cause. Together, we can make a difference. Are you on board?

I’m excited to announce I’ve been selected as an official cast member of the socially conscious (and award-winning) TV series Adventure All Stars. Produced by the acclaimed Charity TV Global, this ground-breaking media format provides a platform for me to raise funds and exposure for a philanthropic cause I’m passionate about. Pre-filming I’m proud to be raising awareness for Wildlife & Environmental Conservation efforts in Australia.

Why am I fundraising and how can you help me?

You don’t know what you’ve got til’ it’s gone. Ask anyone in the world what comes to mind when they think of Australia and you can safely bet they will mention koalas, kangaroos and incredible natural landscapes. Despite fondly identifying as the home of an incredibly diverse range of flora and fauna species Australia has lost more animals to extinction than any other country in the world. Since the year 2000 over 7.47 million hectares of habitat for threatened species has been destroyed and currently in excess of 1800 Australian animals, plants and ecosystems are listed under our national environmental law as threatened with extinction.

Animal and habitat conservation groups require our support to restore and sustainably manage our precious ecosystems and protect our unique and diverse animals and plants from further extinction. By donating to my fundraising campaign you’re helping me to highlight the importance of educating the community on Environmental Sustainability and conserving our natural wonders.

Net proceeds raised throughout this project will be granted to the Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife https://www.fnpw.org.au/
