Who is William Luxe?
I am a passionate and successful young entrepreneur living on the Gold Coast. I'm very excited to expand my philanthropic portfolio with the socially conscious (and award-winning) TV series Adventure All Stars; produced by the acclaimed Charity TV Global. Pre-filming I'm proud to be raising awareness for domestic animals who desperately need our help now more than ever.
3 Personal Facts:
- I'm the founder of 5 companies, and counting!
- When I was 16, I completed 6 months of part-time work experience at a Vetinary Hospital.
- I have a fur baby of my own; his name is Silas and he's a Siberian Husky.
Why am I Fundraising and how can you Help me?
Every life is of value. Each year more than 250,000 abandoned, mistreated and unwanted dogs and cats are euthanised in Australia. Animal welfare and refuge organisations are stretched beyond capacity to house, treat and re-home animals who have been neglected and now find themselves destitute and facing death.
Animal welfare and rescue groups require our support to provide housing, temporary foster care, de-sexing/microchipping, food and medical care to ensure these innocent animals find the loving homes and families they deserve. By donating to my fundraising campaign and sharing it with your network you’re helping me to highlight the importance of educating the community on responsible pet breeding and ownership and protecting animals from unnecessary suffering.
Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge - Bringing Pets and People Together...Forever
SCARS is a not for profit animal rescue at Tanawah, Sunshine Coast Queensland, established in 1979. In over 40 years, more than 40,000 cats and dogs have been saved; plus a few donkeys, snakes chickens and goats along the way. At any time, between 80-100 cats and dogs are held on site in their shelter alongside a smaller temporary foster care-based program. SCARS also has over 40 cats and dogs in permanent foster.
Fast Facts:
- SCARS is a Non-Euthanasia Refuge (Shelter) and were one of the 1st shelters recognised as non-euthanasia in Australia.
- Over 30,000 of the animals saved have been rescued from the SC Pound (Council Pound) - if not rescued they would not have had a second chance at life.
- SCARS 100+ Club - animals are kept for as long as they to find a forever home. Cleo, ridgeback cross recently waited 521 days for a home and cat Suzy was rehired last year after nearly 7 years at SCARS.
- SCARS spends over $250,000 in vet care each year. All animals entering SCARS are vet checked, treated, vaccinated, microchipped, desexed - the lot- prior to being adopted.
Can't Donate? Let's Get Social!
Don't forget , no amount is too small - if 10,000 people donated just $1 each then that's our goal reached! I personally encourage you to swap a cup of coffee this week in return for giving another animal a second chance at life. Don't forget to get social by sharing this campaign and following my journey on Instagram!
